Global Knowledge will be the first VMware Authorized Training Center (VATC) in the UK to run the new vSphere: Fast Track course, in their London Old Broad Street training centre, from September 28th to October 2nd.
The course material will be hot off the press, but we know a lot of customers have been waiting for this course so we wanted to offer it as soon as it became available.
Here's the course outline, and our schedule:

Hi Scott,
ReplyDeleteThe VI3 Fast Track course was a combination of I&C and DSA. I've not seen any specific vSphere DSA courses. I was wondering if there was going to be one. I'm quite keen to do the vSphere Fast Track, at a later date. Can you also let me know what expected start and finish times for the Fault tolerance course would be?
Thanks
Hi Anon,
ReplyDeleteFor vSphere, VMware decided that instead of a single DSA-equivalent course we would have a series of individual modular courses on subjects like Availability (1 day), Scalability (1 day), Automation (??) - these will follow-on from the current Install, Configure, Manage course (4 days) we have for vSphere.
The Fast Track will contain the Install, Configure, Manage content, as well as the Availability and Scalability content - which makes a total of 6 full days of training done in 5 extended days.
Fault Tolerance is covered in the 1-day Availibility course and as part of the Fast Track.
I hope that answers your questions...
Scott.
Thanks Scott,
ReplyDeleteYes, it does answer my question. I can see some benefits in the modular courses, but from a particpant's perspective, with training budgets being tight, it would be difficult all the modules that I want (as opposed to what the company wants) booked.
Are the modular courses available?
The Availability 1-day course is available starting from September 28th, just like the Fast Track.
ReplyDeleteWe're still waiting on the release date for the Scalability and Scripting & Automation courses - they should be out in the next few weeks.
